It all starts in my Tallahassee studio.

Sometimes I have a specific idea in mind, other times, design "happens" from playing around with scraps or previous failed attempts . . . out come the raw materials (silver, copper, gold) in the form of sheet, wire, tubing . . . now the tools: saw, hammer, anvil, pliers, rolling mill, torch, flexshaft, and countless others.

I love the process of making jewelry!

I hope that the end result is something you love to look at and feel great wearing. My finished work and the fabrication processes I utilize to create, are drawn from my past experience with pottery, weaving, photography, and sewing/quilting. One guiding principle has remained constant through all my pursuits: utilitarianism. I prefer to make things that people can and will use in their daily lives. With my jewelry this manifests as no sharp edges, no fragile connections, no raw material that won't last a good long time. And *of course* it has to look and feel great when worn!

In addition to numerous classes taken from talented members of the local chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, I have been fortunate enough to study with such wonderful teachers as John Cogswell, Andy Cooperman, Tom McCarthy and Sydney Scherr.
